Allison Katz-Berlin is an avid artist and works in a number of mediums which include acrylic, watercolor, pottery (both wheel work, hand building), glass, and fibers.
Allison has a B.S. in Fine Art from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Wayne State University. Allison has taught in preschool, elementary, and high school settings and recently was reaching adult art classes at a local community center.
In 2009, Allison began to show her pottery in many prestigious Fine Arts Shows around the states of Michigan and Ohio. Currently, her work can be seen and purchased at the famous Annual Potter's Market held every December in the city of Southfield, Michigan.
Her inspiration for her artist's eye comes from her colorful garden filled with buds and blooms and many walks by nearby nature trails and lakes. It is exemplified in both her design and glazing techniques.
Allison lives with her husband of 33 years in the Metro Detroit area.
