David Allen DeVoe lives in Grand Blanc, and is currently retired. His interest in photography spans several decades beginning with his stint in the Navy and has been influenced by such varied artists as Stieglitz, Weston and Adams.

After many hours spent in the dark he has embraced the digital world and all the possibilties inherent in the medium while keeping his hand in through the occasional use of film. He much prefers to work in black and white, but also enjoys the creative use of color.

David likes to say, "I am not a reporter and am under no obligation to tell you the truth with my images." His work has been published in the literary magazine Qua and can be seen in area galleries.
