Dennis McCarty

Dennis McCarty is a woodworking artist specializing in marquetry and carving.  He has been woodworking for twenty years starting with basic functional furniture before transitioning to artistic pieces.  His hand-crafted work includes wall art and table art often mixing multiple species.  His early woodworking inspiration came from Norm Abrams’ “New Yankee Workshop” and later David Marks’ “Woodworks”.

Recent presentations include the Flint Institute of Art, Ann Arbor Art Center, Rochester “Paint Creek Center for the Arts”, Clarkston “Art in the Atrium”, Northville Art House, Huron Valley Council for the Arts, Leon & Lulu’s, Ann Arbor “16 Hands”, and the Fenton Arts Council Member Exhibit.
