I was raised in the Plymouth area and currently live in the country just north of Ann Arbor, Michigan.  I am a fisheries biologist with the DNR and love to fish and hunt.

I have been working with wood in various forms for over 30 years, making cedar chests, doll cabinets, letter openers, and other items for family and friends.  About 2011, I started woodturning, making bowls, vases and other hollow forms.  I am basically self-taught with help from my woodturning club and watching lots of videos.

Woodturning has become the major type of wood working I do and I love it!  One of my favorite projects is taking a piece of wood with special meaning for someone and making from it an heirloom they can treasure for many years.
