John Sisak

My interest in woodworking began with furniture and cabinetry making, plus a lot of bookcases to accommodate my hobby of reading. I found that I enjoyed the different colors and grain patterns of exotic woods.  Eventually, I began making various boxes for unique gifts. Then I discovered lathing and segmented woodturning and was hooked. Now retired, I will delve more into various designs and techniques with this new direction. My wife and I live in Howell and I’m teaching her to use her lathe, but her first passion is quilting.
