I have been sewing since I was about ten years old. I've made clothes for myself, doll clothes, clothes for my family, quilts, and eventually fabric handbags and purses.  Over the years I began using cork fabric for bag making and it has become my favorite fabric to use.  The cork fabric is soft and durable, and makes bags that are both functional and attractive. The cork comes from the bark of the cork oak trees that grow in Portugal.  Because it is harvested without damage to trees, it is also eco-friendly and sustainable.

My purses and bags can be found at the Cause and Affect Gallery in Fenton and on my website, LSHandmadeBags.com.  I also participate in various art and craft shows and markets throughout the year.
