I have always thought of myself as a Michigan artist and that is becuase of the influences of the environment around me.  Michigan has some of the most beautiful wildlife and landscape that you can display on canvas.  With Michigan being one of the homes to the great lakes, you can capture the natural beauty of our landscapes and beaches which is what I love to paint. 

I try to organize my thoughts before starting a new painting.  I get my ideas and inspirations from the world around me.  I'm lucky that I live in a state that you can capture the natural beauty of our landscape.  I like to use a lot of colors and different texture in my painting.
