Besides writing picture books, Shanda shares her road-tested tips and shortcuts for parents & caregivers of young children on her website: shandatrent.com. When she isn't writing, she likes to make jewelry and sculptures with the rocks and sea glass she collects at any beach she visits. She lives in an empty nest in Ann Arbor with her husband; her three chickadees are off exploring their own worlds.
