Sybil Phelps is a Milford-based textile enthusiast, with experience creating crafts using a wide range of fibers. Originally a quilter, she expanded to basketry, which she studied in Costa Rica. Upon her return to the U.S, Sybil continued classes and began to combine her weaving skills with dried gourd crafts, incorporating stones; ceramics; wood beads and hand-made papers. She is currently creating baskets using her collection of fabrics and yarns from her travels in Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
