My interest in art began in the fourth grade due to an amazing art teacher. As time passed, I became intrigued with the construction of books. For over thirty years I have been researching, exploring and learning many types of book designs from historical to inventive.
Books are very personal to me. They have been a refuge in the chaos of life. I leave my books blank for others to fill with their hopes, dreams, images and stories whether it be words, colors or personal imagery.
I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alma College and a Masters of Art Education from Wayne State University. I have been an artist educator for over forty years teaching at Holly, Flint, the Flint Institute of Arts and various art programs around the state.
