Yvonne St. Arno

My love  for creating began when I was a child. For as long as I can remember I enjoyed cutting paper & pasting it together and to other objects. I was creating “Altered Art” before I knew it had a name. I also had a love for paper dolls which I would find a way to incorporate into my work as an adult. I married young and had two sons. I loved being a full-time Mom and crafting with my children and later with my my day care kids. Craft time was my favorite part of the day. After my children started school I got a job at a Scrapbooking Store where I taught rubber stamp art and paper crafting. I began altering cigar boxes around 1999. I also started creating collage pieces. Later I began incorporating vintage sepia tone photos into my work, creating vignette boxes that I feel represent a simpler time. I love coming up with new ideas and new ways to work my “paper dolls” into my creations. When I’m not creating I love spending time with my husband and family. My husband and I enjoy walking, reading, crossword puzzles and our semi-annual trip to Shanghai, China.
