My early years working at a sawmill and various lumberyards began my woodworking experience. After visiting a local lumberyard that dealt in exotic woods I was hooked. The wide variety of natural colors, grains and character of the wood prompted me to try them out. The expense of some of the exotics kept me from throwing away leftover pieces from projects that began gluing these together into larger usable pieces.

Along the way I came across an out of print book that taught cutting wood multiple times at various angles to achieve interesting patterns.  I have been blessed to be able to put all this together into different small projects. I also like giving wood a second life. Many disposed cabinets, bars, shelves, etc. have found their way into my projects!
